The day that we shot Amanda's senior portraits could not have been more perfect. The air was had a bit of an edge to it but was still warm enough for us to wander around-- first at the base of Forest Park and then down into the Northwest district. And Amanda was the perfect model, a complete natural. As we were finishing, she said, "You know, I kind of like having people take pictures of me." I think I see some more work in her future!

Do you still want to do trash the dress? We hadn't talked about it in awhile and it may be cold when you come, so I wasn't sure.

1, 3, 4 and 8 are the best out of the set. The last one is just ... pretty. But i doubt she would want senior photos showing nipple (6, 9 and 10)

1st needs a bit of softer skin though, i think there's a bit to much noise there.

I'm going to have to mess with that in photoshop. She's kinda naive and I don't think she was aware that it was happening.

At full size, there's a very slight bit of noise on her left cheek, but the redness on her right cheek is natural redness -- as you've already noted, it was kinda chilly.

Noiseware Pro plug-in, if you have it, will do a fantastic job on the 1st image. but just do it for the face. so history brush the rest of the image back in. The problem i'm seeing is that the sweater feels really soft, but the noise takes away from it. and I think that is the best shot of the whole set. she's got a great look on her face, the colors are fantastic, the redness from the chill is perfect, and the fact that she's gorgeous certainly doesn't hurt.

These are absolutely gorgeous -- and I'd like to chime in against the anti-noise commenter. I think in areas where the texture is so fine that it blends with the noise, it's better to leave a little bit of "grain"; especially with photos that are already so flattering.

I don't know what these look like larger, but I'd hate to see you run them through noise-processing and end up looking magazine-glossy in place of their current rich, natural feeling.

My 2 cents, for what it's worth.

1. overblown, the way her arms are cut off is kind of awkward.
2 & 3. overblown as well but better
4. nice natural smile. i love it. but it seems that since she's facing the right she should be more on the left side of the frame.
5. alright
6. blue line is distracting, try to clone it out?
7. this one is good
8. this one is my favorite. perfect lighting, background, composition, pose. bravo.
9 & 10. both look way too posed. and you dont want her nipple to be showing!
