Dave and Lisa were one of the first couples that we photographed back in the day, and needless to say, we were thrilled when they found out they were expecting! Little man S joined their family earlier this month and we had such a fun evening capturing his newborness. He even pulled out a new look for us: think Blue Steel from Zoolander. He was all a-pucker and his parents just kept cracking up. He's definitely going to be a performer, this one. And we can't wait to watch him grow!

Baby M is one strong little man. He was born with a heart condition that will necessitate surgeries in his early life-- the first of which will be this week. We were thrilled to capture images not just of his adorable little newborness (at home, our favorite place to do newborn sessions) but also to document what he looked like before he got his battle scars. He was so cute and feisty and we know that he's going to come through everything like a champ!

Annaliese was more than ready for her close-up: she's growing like a WEED! And her mom tells us that she's a petite version of her big brothers. I couldn't have been more thrilled, though, because her baby chub literally made me squeal with joy. She was her perfect, complacent self the whole session. I love that I get to keep photographing her again and again!

We photographed baby G at home, with his adoring fans (aka his mom, dad, and two big sisters). He was really alert at the beginning of the session, which was fun because we got to see his budding personality. He's a sweet, calm little man, though he does have a little bit of a wild side. A little binky action, though, and he was chill. And then he conked out like a champ.

This was a session that sort of was and sort of wasn't. We'd planned to photograph Baby A, and her family too, for her first Milestones session. But when we got to their house she was not in the best of spirits. We played with her a bit but she was soon very ready for a nap. So we just rolled with it and captured some images of her sleeping, and then caught something very rare-- her parents having time just the two of them! We'll be going back soon to finish the session, so you'll get to see her sweet face again, but here's a few from our first session.

We photographed Baby M the other night at home. He was ten days old but already beginning to emerge from the newborn fog. It's amazing how fast that happens. It meant that we were able to get some awake shots, but also that he didn't want to be curled up for the life of him. And that little boy has some strong legs, so there was no coaxing. It was ok, though. We got some pictures that I think his parents (and Grandma Jackie!) are going to die for.

We spent last Saturday morning with little E, who was bright and shiny, as most babies are first thing in the morning (good thing we have one of our own so that we could accomodate that hour!) We shot in her adorable pink and blue bedroom and then in their back yard, where she has her own special garden. And then we lured her dad for a few pictures on their front porch. I'm so glad because they're my favorites from the whole shoot!

While we were at our family's lake cabin (pictures which are yet to be posted!), we did a shoot with Will's new little cousin, A. She celebrated her six-week birthday while we were there, so she's not quite newborn. But she's cute and chubbly and we couldn't resist doing some photos with her. It's too bad that she doesn't live in Portland because she would definitely be becoming a Milestones baby!

We had planned to do Baby A's shoot a few weeks ago, as a "true" newborn session, but there were some complications and so we did her session at the ripe old age of six weeks. It was an exciting and slightly emotional session for me-- I've known their family of four boys for quite some time, and when Baby A's mom found out that they were expecting, we all kind of held our breath and hoped. But when she was born, the shock was real for everyone. It was just too good to be true! Photographing her in all of her sweetness made for a very happy me, and hopefully for her family too! And I'll get to be seeing a lot more of her too because she'll be a Milestones baby. I can't wait to see her grow.

I shot Baby S's newborn sesssion at her home on Monday. She's just three weeks old (we were supposed to do it last week but she got sick) and is so calm and precious. We did some of the session in her bedroom and some in her parents room on their great big bed. It was a wonderful morning.

We shot Andrew's second installment in his Milestones package this morning. This little boy is such a doll. He's always all smiles, even when the sun is in his eyes or we're trying to get him to do something funny. I'm really enjoying watching him grow!

I've been meaning to put up pictures of Baby B. for quite a while now, and here they finally are! We shot her at her two-month birthday and she was her usual self-- perfect and mellow and lovely. We had fun finding different backdrops for her, including a bright red blanket, since her middle name is something akin to that color, and antique children's books because, well, you'd have to know their family to really get that one. Let's just say they are very well read!

We shot Andrew's three month pictures this week and also did some pictures of his big sister, Lizzie. She was thrilled to mug for the camera, but not as thrilled about holding him in her arms, so it was mostly a solo shoot for the two of them. But I got in a few sibling shots right at the end, and even got her to smile! Her mom's bribe of "pink princess ice cream" didn't hurt either.

We've been busy, living life, and so we haven't been editing as quickly as we normally do. Here's the first of what will seem like some back-to-back shoots. We shot Callie's 12-month pictures up at the International Rose Test Gardens and at the Pittock Mansion, and had quite the time chasing her around.
